I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Swallows for a much-needed gourmet getaway, and there are a few memorable highlights worth sharing. First off, the property itself is quite conveniently located - just follow the road around to the left past the Three Cocks pub, which is a nice landmark for orientation. On the culinary front, breakfast was a delightful start to our day. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked bread and the vibrant fruit salad, which offered a refreshing contrast to the more indulgent options. The cooked breakfast was a well-executed combination that included perfectly poached eggs - a rarity that I truly appreciate, especially given my penchant for culinary details in my work as a marine biologist. The dining area itself is bright and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy each course.
